Sarah Michelle Gellar joins the voice cast of Star Wars Rebels for Season 2!

The season finale of Star Wars Rebels aired last night on Disney XD and it was amazing! (For great behind the scenes interviews from the cast and crew on the episode watch here.)

Now, just hours later, a new casting has been announced for Season 2! Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar (The Crazy Ones, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) will be joining the voice cast along side her husband Freddie Prinze Jr. who voices Kanan Jarrus on the show.

At the moment, Gellar's role on the show is being kept a secret but Executive Producer and fans alike have expressed their excitement at her addition to Season 2.

"Executive producer Dave Filoni said, “We’re thrilled to have Sarah Michelle Gellar on board for season two. She is a true ‘Star Wars Rebels’ fan and her passion undoubtedly comes through in the voice recording sessions.”"
