Hasbro Studios announces a feature film for My Little Pony!
Heads up, Pony fans! Hasbro Studios has just announced that they have given the green light to start developing a feature film for their hit franchise My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic!
This new film is said to come out in 2017 and will be developed, produced, and financed in house through Hasbro Studio's new production company Allspark Pictures. This is the same company that is creating the Jem and the Holograms film.
My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic is coming up on it's 100th show and has already put out some direct to video animated films but this will be the show's first feature film. Hasbro Studios has hired Joe Ballarini (Ice Age: Continental Drift) to write the script and Megan McCarthy to executive produce. McCarthy produces and writes for the show and the direct to video films.
At the moment there is no word what kind of animation will be used for the film; CG animation or traditional animation. One thing is for sure though, every pony out there will be lining up to see this film.
