X-Men: Days of Future Past will get an extended "Rogue Cut" adding in all of Rogue's deleted scenes!
X-Men: Days of Future Past was a complete success in every sense of the word for the X-Men franchise. Critics loved it, fans loved, and everyone couldn't stop talking about it. There was one thing however that seemed a little odd about the film and that was that Anna Paquin's Rogue was missing from the film (except a very small cameo).
It was later discovered that although Paquin filmed several different key scenes, everything she shot was left on the cutting room floor. It was said that Rogue's part of this story was cut because of time constraints which is quite unfortunate.
Fans will be excited to find out however that next summer there will be an extended cut, being titled the "Rogue Cut", of X-Men: Days of Future Past released that will feature 10 additional minutes of footage which will include all of Rogue's scenes as well as some others. Writer and producer stated:
"We want to give (fans) the fullest picture of the film — behind the camera, and in front of it,” with the “Rogue Cut” and provide “more of the process we went through” to make the film.
“Every movie has scenes that are cut out, but not every movie has scenes cut out with such a beloved character."
This news may have just changed my mind about picking up the regular cut of the film. I think I much rather wait for the Rogue Cut and get the full experience. Will you be picking up the "Rogue Cut" when it is released?
