Doctor Who Season 8 premiere to hit select theaters! See Doctor Who on the big screen!

Exciting news, Doctor Who fans! The BBC has announced that the Season 8 premiere will be heading to select theaters so that fans can once again see the Doctor on the big screen! The premiere episode is titled "Deep Breath".
"Directed by acclaimed director Ben Wheatley (Sightseers, A Field in England) and written by lead writer and executive producer Steven Moffat, the beginning of the Twelfth Doctor’s era stars Peter Capaldi as the Doctor, Jenna Coleman as his companion Clara Oswald and sees the return of fan favourites the Paternoster Gang - Madame Vastra (Neve McIntosh), Jenny Flint (Catrin Stewart) and Strax (Dan Starkey) – in a pulse-racing adventure through Victorian London."
The theaters screenings will happen in England on Saturday, August 23, 2014 the same day as the television premiere. Unfortunately, the US and Canada screening will be on Monday, August 25, 2014 in select theaters. It feels odd having the theater screening two days after the episode airs for free on BBC America. The BBC has stated that there will be some extra content seen in the theaters but this content will be made available to everyone in the future.

At the moment there is no information on which theaters will be showing the screening or how much tickets will cost. Stay tuned to the official Doctor Who Cinema website or the BBC America Facebook page for more details.
