Spider-Man is not allowed to play with the Avengers in this adorably fun art piece!

Poor Spider-Man. The Avengers have gained the attention of the geek community, pop culture, and society in general but one teammate has been left behind; Spider-Man. Take a look at this funny art piece from artist Mauricio Abril titled "Poor Spidey". You'll see the cast of The Avengers on set having some fun while Spidey is being dragged off by studio security. The piece is really fun and adorably drawn.

"I suppose this is what happens when you cross fan art with social commentary. I came up with the idea for this gag illustration after watching 'The Amazing Spiderman 2' on opening weekend, but only just now got around to finishing it. It pretty much summarizes how I felt about the new franchise, the larger Marvel cinematic universe and the realities of binding contracts."

It's sad that because of character rights and contracts that we won't see Spider-Man together with his Marvel friends on the big screen for a long time, if ever.
