Actor Paul Rudd in negotiations to play Ant-Man!
Marvel has just entered negotiations with actor Paul Rudd to play Henry Pym/Ant-Man in the upcoming Ant-Man film. Until now rumors had been spreading that the role could go to either Rudd or actor Joseph Gordon Levitt. However, it was recently announced that Levitt is now tied to the Sandman film that is being developed with opened the way for Rudd to take the title role in the new Marvel film.
I like Rudd and think that he could do a great job in this role. With Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Scott Pilgrim vs The World) directing from a script that he co-wrote with Joe Cornish (Attack the Block, The Adventures of Tin Tin) I think this movie has great potential to be another blockbuster for both Disney and Marvel. I'm excited to see what Wright and Rudd have in store for this character!
Ant-Man is tentatively set to be released on July 31, 2015.

Marvel has just announced that Paul Rudd has officially been cast in Ant-Man!
"When Edgar Wright came to us with the idea of Paul Rudd, we felt a huge sense of relief because the first step in creating any Marvel Studios film is finding the right star," said Marvel's Kevin Feige. "We knew early on that we had found the right person in Paul. When he not only agreed to do it but became as enthusiastic as any actor we’d ever met with about doing the work, we knew we’d found the right guy. We couldn’t be more excited for our audiences to see what he’s going to do to bring Ant-Man to life."Source: Marvel
