Sign a petition to light up the Empire State Building TARDIS blue to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who!

This year marks an important year in Doctor Who history and sci-fi history as well! On November 23rd Doctor Who will celebrate it's 50th Anniversary and it will become the first sci-fi show in history to do so! That is a big statement to the show and it's fans.

In light of this occasion my friends over at the NYSciFi and Fantasy group (based out of NYC) are setting up a petition to light up the Empire State Building TARDIS blue on November 23rd to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who!

"This is the first time a SciFi show has lasted 50 years. It's a landmark occasion.

The Doctor has visted NYC many times over the years, most recently earlier this season. Now NYSciFi & Fantasy (www.NYSciFi.com) wants to bring NYC to The Doctor to celebrate!

We are attempting to partner with the Empire State Building (www.esbnyc.com) to make this happen.  Help show just how popular this show is by signing the petition and sharing the link.  Spread the word via facebook, Twitter, or any way you can!  Alons-y!"

So far 3,285 fans (out of 5,000 needed) have supported this cause! If this goes through this will be a momentous occasion for the fandom on top of the already big anniversary going on.
