RoboCop is ready for duty in the first trailer for the reboot! [video]

The first trailer for director José Padilha's Robocop was released today and fans can let out a sigh of relief as it looks pretty good! This first trailer gives fans a good look at the basic story to the film and the transformation process of officer Alex Murphy into Robocop. We'll have to wait and see if this film beats the original 1987 classic but this trailer sure has the film off to a good start. 

"In this re-envisioning of the classic movie, the year is 2041 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology.  Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front.

 Alex Murphy is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in detroit.  After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex's life.  He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues a regular man has never had to face before."

RoboCop will hit theaters on February 7, 2014.
