Ultron is cast for the The Avengers sequel The Avengers: Age of Ultron!

Some big news has just been revealed for Marvel's sequel for The Avengers titled The Avengers: Age of Ultron. James Spader (Stargate, Boston Legal, The Practice) has been cast as the villain of the film; Ultron!

"Spader's Ultron will be making trouble for Marvel's costumed heroes in the movie, including Iron Man, The Hulk, Captain America, and Thor. However, since Ultron is entirely mechanical, it remains to be seen if Spader will be on set in a suit, interacting with his fellow cast members, or if he'll be providing the voice for a CGI creation. So far, Marvel and Disney haven't weighed in on the matter."

I think that James Spader is a fantastic actor with the kind of depth that could do a great job at bringing Ultron to life. It'll be interesting to see what Ultron will look like on screen and how Spader will be used to portray him. I'm excited.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron is currently set to hit theaters on May 1, 2015.
