Trailer for Batman: The Dark Knight Rises Part 2 pits Batman against Superman! [video]

Fresh on the heels of the successful first part, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 2 has released a trailer that pits Batman against Superman! The second film picks up where part 1 leaves off, with Batman returning to Gotham with an all new Robin. However, things are slightly different when he returns. The Gotham City police department is after Batman as is the Joker. As Batman attempts to stop the Joker the US government teams up with Superman to stop the Dark Knight permanently.

The Dark Knight Returns Part 2 stars Peter Weller as Batman, Michael Emerson as The Joker, Mark Valley as Superman, Ariel Winter as Carrie Kelly/Robin, and David Selby as Commissioner Gordon.

The Dark Knight Returns Part 2 is set to be released in early 2013.
