Fans get their first look at the White Council and Thranduil the Elven King from The Hobbit!

The One Ring.net has revealed some great photos from the upcoming The Hobbit that gives fans a first look at a spectacular scene and a new character! Our first image shows us our first glimpse of the White Council with Saruman the White (Christopher Lee), Gandalf the Grey (Sir Ian McKellen), Galadriel (Cate Blanchett), and Elrond (Hugo Weaving) in an important discussion about a certain Wraith's sword. It is a truly fantastic moment to see.

The second image gives us a first look at a new character, Thranduil, the Elven King! Thranduil is being played by Lee Pace who is most known for being on the show Pushing Daisies. Thranduil is King of all the Wood Elves and father to Legolas.
