Official The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Logo
Nintendo fans and The Legend of Zelda enthusiasts let out a sigh of relief during this years Game Developer Conference (GDC) keynote address. This years address was given by Nintendo President Satoru Iwata. Not only did Iwata show some screen shots of Ocarina of Time 3D, a new trailer for Skyward Sword, but he also mentioned that this year is The Legend of Zelda's 25th Anniversary.
Along with the acknowledgment that this year was the anniversary he revealed the official 25th Anniversary logo (seen below) and gave a promise that game designer and creator of The Legend of Zelda series, Shigeru Miyamoto, was working hard on something special for the anniversary. No hints were given as to what Miyamoto was working on but it is clear that it is something entirely separate from Ocarina of Time 3D and Skyward Sword. I have confidence that Miyamoto will do something truly fantastic for this franchise's anniversary.
